KMZ Industries Expands Its Presence in the Kazakhstani Market

KMZ Industries continues to confidently expand its markets for grain storage complex equipment. At the end of autumn, our team visited an oil extraction plant in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“We began our collaboration with the customer by supplying sets of steam heat exchangers for their existing grain dryers. Following negotiations and our visit to the grain storage complex, the owner expressed interest in our Brice-Baker dryers with capacities of 50 and 100 tons per hour,” – said Anton Honcharuk, KMZ Industries’ sales representative.

The facility currently operates four grain drying systems supplied by companies from Turkey, Germany, the United Kingdom, and a local manufacturer. However, these dryers struggle to handle high-quality processing of agricultural products under Kazakhstan’s challenging weather conditions. They are poorly insulated and not designed to operate at ambient temperatures below -15°C. The grain storage complex, integrated into the plant, operates year-round and often requires sunflower drying in extreme temperatures of -40°C to -50°C. Under such conditions, locally produced steam heat exchangers frequently fail.

“Our dryer, however, is well-insulated and capable of functioning in a hybrid configuration, utilizing either a diesel burner with a heat exchanger or another heat source, such as steam heat exchangers. These have been tested in similar climatic conditions and perform reliably at low temperatures. We are confident that the Brice-Baker dryers will operate effectively under these conditions”, – added Anton Honcharuk.

The installation of the Brice-Baker dryer will be the first step in a larger collaboration with this client. The company owns 11 grain storage complexes across the Republic of Kazakhstan and plans to modernize and expand both its grain drying systems and storage capacities for agricultural products.
