Maintaining the chosen course for exports: we have delivered a comprehensive package of equipment for the construction of a grain storage complex to Romania

KMZ Industries has signed another export contract for the supply of equipment for the construction of a grain storage complex in Romania.

We have manufactured and delivered on time to the customer silos with a total capacity of 420 tons, conveying equipment with a capacity of 50 tons per hour, gravity equipment and metal structures.

The installation works are underway and this season the Ukrainian silos will receive the first grain from the Romanian fields and store it before sending it for processing.

“The peculiarity of Romanian farmers is their desire to avoid earthworks as much as possible, so the reception of agricultural products at their grain storage complexes is carried out using an above-ground silo and bucket elevators without digging. In particular, at the request of this customer, all steel structures (bucket elevator tower, gallery, supports) were also designed and manufactured by KMZ Industries“, – said Oleksandr Tkachenko, Export Director of KMZ Industries.

According to him, the logistics of transporting elevator equipment from Ukraine to Romania is well established and there are no problems with it.

“The delivery time can be affected by the lack of truck drivers authorized to cross the border and queues at border crossings, which makes the transportation take more than a week. Therefore, both Romanian customers and Ukrainian manufacturers take these factors into account in order to avoid the risk of prolonging the construction period“, – adds Oleksandr Tkachenko.
