KMZ Industries to Build Grain Handling Complex in Polissya

25.08.2025

KMZ Industries has won a tender for the manufacturing and supply of a grain handling complex to be built in Zhytomyr region.

The project includes the delivery of a fully integrated technological complex comprising:

  • Brice-Baker SCN 10/24 automated grain dryer with a capacity of 20 t/h for corn, reducing moisture from 20% to 14%. Powered by natural gas, the dryer ensures precise temperature control, preserving the maximum nutritional value of the grain.
  • Grain handling system featuring bucket elevators and chain conveyors of the new product line with a capacity of 50 t/h. The upgraded elevators have an improved head design that reduces grain damage. The chain conveyors are equipped with chains manufactured using American technology, which reduces motor load by 10–15%. Metal consumption has been optimized without compromising durability. These solutions significantly improve the energy efficiency of the equipment.
  • Pre-Clean separator of the new line with a capacity of 50 t/h, designed for effective pre-cleaning of cereals, legumes, and oilseeds before drying. The closed-loop aspiration system with an auger for removing light impurities eliminates the need for additional cyclones. As a result, the separator requires minimal space within the elevator tower. The system operates with a two-stage cleaning principle, using a powerful airflow and mesh conveyor, while a feeder with an individual electric drive ensures uniform grain input.
  • Specialized loading hopper for trucks, providing logistical flexibility and reducing transportation costs of the final product.

“Winning this contract reaffirms the correctness of our strategy to develop high-tech solutions for the agro-industrial sector. KMZ Industries consistently focuses on creating equipment that complies with international standards while addressing the specific needs of Ukrainian farmers – from logistical flexibility to energy efficiency. We take pride in the fact that our engineering solutions help agricultural producers optimize processes and improve product quality,” said Yurii Musiienko, Head of KMZ Industries’ Regional Office.

He added that the company plans to complete the production and installation of the equipment within the coming months, enabling the customer to benefit from advanced grain handling technologies as early as this season.
