KMZ Industries has begun installation of equipment for Ukraine’s first plant dedicated to the production of soy protein concentrate. This represents a groundbreaking solution for the market and the company’s largest project in 2025, encompassing the design, manufacturing, and installation of 20 custom-engineered storage and loading silos for soy protein concentrate with a total capacity of 7,000 m³.
“The initial request for equipment supply, accompanied by a general concept, reached us back in February 2023. It stood out from conventional approaches and presented an entirely different challenge, which made the project even more compelling.
In 2024, intensive collaboration with the client’s team led us to generate and evaluate six fundamentally different design concepts for the storage facility. Based on the selected option, our design, engineering, and process teams jointly worked through structural requirements, technical features, and equipment design,” explains Roman Shtelmakh, Director of Customer Service Department at KMZ Industries.
Under the approved project, KMZ Industries is manufacturing and installing:
“This project is an ambitious and unique experience for us. At KMZ Industries, we never work on the principle of standardized mass production. Every customer request is considered in the context of specific technological requirements. From such discussions and joint problem-solving with clients, truly transformative projects are born — projects that move the industry forward. We are grateful to our partner for the trust and for choosing KMZ Industries,” notes Oksana Patsai, Regional Sales Manager at KMZ Industries.
The preparation phase lasted several months and included detailed engineering design, technical alignment, and comprehensive pre-installation planning. Currently, installation is being carried out on site by KMZ Industries’ experienced assembly team.
Alexander Nebesky, Commercial Director of KMZ Industries, highlighted the strategic significance of this development: “Processing is the future of Ukraine’s agricultural sector. Both large and mid-sized enterprises are moving in this direction, while the government actively supports such investments by compensating up to 25% of capital expenditures and implementing grant programs. Over 40% of our clients last year were processing companies, and we are confident this trend will only accelerate.”
This facility will become a landmark on the map of Ukraine’s processing industry. For KMZ Industries, it stands as a model of partnership where client trust and manufacturer expertise come together to deliver an entirely new market solution.
