KMZ Industries presented new grain storage equipment at the Grain Tech Expo

On February 14-16, 2024, Kyiv hosted the International Grain Tech Expo, during which suppliers of equipment, machinery and technologies presented innovative solutions for the production, storage, processing and conveying of grains, legumes, cereals and oilseeds.

KMZ Industries, as a leading Ukrainian manufacturer of grain storage equipment, is a regular participant of the professional event, as it is a good opportunity to demonstrate its new products to farmers.

This year, among the exhibits that the participants of the exhibition could get acquainted with at the KMZ Industries stand were

• bucket elevator head in an updated design;
• a new model of a flapper valve for changing the direction of product movement;
• mechanical grain flow distributor;
• drive station for a new chain conveyor with a capacity of 100 tons per hour.

“Updating the equipment lineup is a constant, necessary evolutionary process for a company that strives to develop and offer its customers the best solutions. We always communicate with our partners, listen to their wishes and try to take them into account when introducing new technological developments, – says Oleksandr Tkachenko, Head of Technical Support and Product Marketing. – For example, the new design of the bucket elevator head minimizes the possibility of grain injury during conveying. In addition, when developing this model, our specialists managed to reduce its metal consumption and improve energy efficiency, which, in turn, reduces the cost of the bucket elevator and saves costs during its operation.

The main difference between the drive station of the updated chain conveyor is the use of a new chain made using American technology as a traction body, which saves up to 10-15% due to a lower load on the engine.”

In addition, according to him, the updated line of flapper valves presented at the stand is made of galvanized steel, with a basic version having a polyurethane-reinforced lining of the working surface and inspection hatches for easy inspection and adjustment.

The design of the new model of the grain flow separator provides protection against spillage, a large hatch for maintenance and inspection, and is made of European metal with a zinc coating of 275 g/m².
